Landon Manning Jones Scholarship Donation

The Jones Cabaret Series was orignally founded in 2016 as the Bravo Cabaret Series for the purpose of bringing cabaret-style entertainment to the Grand Valley. The series also allows music theatre students to explore and perform contemporary vocal styles with a live band and has raised scholarship funds for music theatre students. Since the inaugural year, nearly 100% of the series’ proceeds have been used to fund music theatre students’ educations.

In January 2019, we were saddened to learn of the tragic death of Mesa alumnus Landen Manning Jones (class of 2004). Landen was a vibrant singer and dancer whose stellar portrayal of Jesus in the 2000 MSC production of Jesus Christ Superstar brought such excitement that many of our patrons and community members still talk about it. As well as a bright shining star, he was infinitely joyful and effulgently kindhearted. His life touched many across the country and he is greatly missed. We dedicate our cabaret series to his memory, with all proceeds from the series being used to create the Landen Manning Jones Scholarship Fund through the CMU Foundation.
